Iontas Event Focus software chosen to aid in PCI DSS compliance
- Iontas, a global provider of business process optimization software, announced today that one of Europe's largest cable TV providers has purchased 5,000 licenses of its Event Focus software. The company chose Iontas Event Focus to help it comply with the Payment Card Industry's Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) by masking the credit cards numbers onscreen of its nine million customers.
"Complying with PCI DSS can require significant changes to a company's business processes to protect customer payment card numbers," said Steve Williams, vice president of Sales for Iontas. "Using Iontas Event Focus to obscure customer confidential information in applications used by sales and support representatives is an innovative and cost effective way to prevent employees from misusing this data, without impacting the TV cable company's established customer service processes."
Iontas' Focus software suite gives companies the unique ability to understand exactly how employees use their various software applications to do their day-to-day jobs so they can improve business processes and resource allocation. One of four modules comprising the Focus software suite, Iontas Event Focus is a business rules processing engine that allows companies to plan for events or data occurrences in software applications and automatically trigger actions based on these occurrences.
