Document Management Company Selects Iontas as Exclusive Business Intelligence Provider

Austin, Texas and Letterkenny, Ireland - May 10th 2006

Iontas today announced that one of the world’s largest document management companies selected Focus to collect crucial business intelligence data from its software systems. The new customer, headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, was particularly attracted by the ease of installation (two days for 1,400 seats).

“We showed them that we could quickly install the Focus applet on more than 1,400 PCs without any user or network interruptions,” said Iontas CEO Joe Stockton. “The fact that we’d done this on much larger installations gave them a lot of confidence.”

Focus is a suite of three independent modules, Desktop Analysis, App Alert, and Process Analysis. The software works by collecting data from a small applet that sits on each user’s PC and tracks every activity: the amount of time spent in each application, module, or page, buttons clicked, navigation paths followed, and even values entered and returned. The encrypted messages it regularly sends to a central server require the bandwidth of just a single email.

Focus requires no integration with a company’s applications or databases. Instead, it works by tracking activity through the Windows operating system. This design enables it to collect hard-to-acquire data across the entire spectrum of business tools that employees use. Anyone can configure the application without extensive training.

Stockton added: “Focus is the perfect tool for collecting the data needed for business process intelligence. Many of our customers are using Focus to help fuel their Six Sigma initiatives, to identify process weaknesses and demonstrate compliance.”
